Chloe is Seven Months Old

 

Weight/Size: You weigh 17.6 lbs and are now 29" long! Your little feet hang off the end of your car seat and your swing, but you still can't touch the ground in your walker. You wear a size three diaper and mostly 9 month outfits.

Sleep: You now take all of your naps in your crib. When you start showing signs that you are sleepy, we lay you down in your crib and you fall asleep within 10 minutes. Sometimes you cry, sometimes you fall right asleep. You usually take two or three naps per day and sometimes you will nap for three hours at a time! You started taking a pacifier, which is good and bad. It helps calm you down and you fall asleep easier with it. However, you seem to wake up in the middle of the night more when you realize you have dropped it.

Movement:  You are two seconds away from crawling. You get into the crawling position and you rock back and forth. You usually end up going backwards though. If we place you on your play mat, you will be off the mat and on the tile within a minute. You are always trying to climb on something and you are starting to pull yourself up to stand. You can sit up on your own and you can get into the crawling position from a sitting position. Every day you attempt to try something new and you do not give up until you figure it out. You also started playing with your hair.

Communication: You sure have become vocal this month! You now say the words "Dada", "Mama", and "Yum Yum". You don't know what they mean yet but you are always trying to tell us stories using those words. You squeal very loudly when you want attention. You also fake crying and fake coughing to get our attention. Once you've got our attention, you crack up laughing! You yell at Callie to get her to come to you, but she usually just ignores you. She brings you her toy sometimes thinking that you can throw it for her. It's just too cute! You smile and laugh all the time, still mostly at any dog in site.


Food: You eat baby cereal for breakfast, baby fruits and vegetables for lunch, and formula bottles in between. You have just been introduced to a sippy cup to drink water, although more of the water falls on the floor than your mouth. Mommy tried to give you a bite of soft wheat toast, but it was a failure. Maybe next month, we will try again.

Mood: You are so much fun to play with. You are always well behaved when we are out and about. You just soak everything in, including the attention from every single passer-byer. You open up to certain people and stay shy around others. You are so silly, always making mommy and daddy laugh.

Medicine:  No meds this month!

2. You sat in a shopping cart like a big girl for the first time
3. You took a big girl bath for the first time and loved it

Likes: Pacifiers, jumping and spinning in your swing, chewing on the tags to everything, watching Callie play with her toys, riding in your car seat, being outside, playing at the beach, taking a big girl bath, looking in the mirror

Dislikes: Green Peas, nothing else that comes to mind this month, you have been so happy
